CAULYS – URBAN GREENHOUSE
Agriculture meets Architecture. Caulys is a spin-off from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) dedicated to urban hyper-local farming. The goal: allow restaurants and canteens to grow their own herbs and vegetables on-site, reducing food miles to zero.
We handled both the product design of the modular greenhouse and the global brand identity, ensuring the technology feels organic and accessible, not just industrial.

GROWTH-DRIVEN BRANDING
We built the visual identity around the concept of vertical growth. The logo and typography mimic the stem of a plant, creating a clean, upward momentum. The color palette mixes natural earth tones with a clinical white, bridging the gap between nature and laboratory precision.
MODULAR ARCHITECTURE
The greenhouse "ALFA" is designed as a living furniture piece. It uses a stackable wooden structure that fits into standard architectural grids. Whether for a small balcony or a large corporate cafeteria, the system scales horizontally and vertically without losing its aesthetic coherence.
PILOT INSTALLATION
Beyond aesthetics, it’s a production machine. The system integrates advanced hydroponics and optimized LED lighting to maximize yield in minimal space. Key Data: A single module can host up to 200 plants, offering full autonomy with automated irrigation and climate control.
